Rainy day applique!!!

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010Which one will you be doing for Easter???
One of the characteristics of heirloom sewing is the extensive use of trims such as lace and entredeux. When selecting trims make sure they suit the weight of your fabric and the size of the garment.
What exactly is entredeux?? Loosely translated it means “between two”. It is a 3mm-12mm wide embroidered veining, stitched on cotton batiste to create a ladder effect. It is used to secure or enhance a seam or join lace. Notice the fine entredeux pictured above. The pink and blue will add just a touch of color to your garment. Precious!!
We have fine french laces, satin ribbons, swiss eyelet, dotted swiss, pique, seersucker, voile, organdy, and swiss batiste to help you design a one of a kind garment for your little one.
