Quilting 101



In this class you will learn choosing fabrics, cutting with a rotary cutter and rulers, piecing, correct pressing techniques, adding borders, batting, basic quilting and even binding. In 5 sessions, you will finish a lap quilt.  Homework is required between sessions. This class requires a basic knowledge of your sewing machine. If you don't own a sewing machine, or supplies, we can set up a time for you to come into the store and we can guide you through what you will need to purchase, and even provide a discount.  

Supplies Required:

Your sewing machine, accessories, feet, power cord and foot control.
Basic sewing notions (pins, needles, etc...)

Supplies Additional:  pattern, batting and fabric, thread etc.

5/8 yard binding
4 yards backing

Skill Details: This class is for the newest beginner. We will show you how to rotary cut, piece, quilt and finish your quilt.
