Beginning Applique' Class

This class is designed to get you comfortable with raw edge applique. Machine applique is truly easy. As with anything, practice makes the difference!
Supplies:
Bring a machine that you know how to use, matching thread, sharp scissors, straight pins, pencil.
1/4 yard of Steam A Seam Lite, the 12" will be fine for this project.
Fabric: Fat quarter for the background. Please bringa 3" square of fabric for center of the flower. If you want the inner border and the flower to be the same color, you will need a fat quarter. If you want your stem, leaves, outer border backing and binding the same color, then get 1/2 yard.
The 20 or 20C foot is best for applique on a Bernina. If you have another machine, you will want an open foot so you can easily see your stitching.
I will have the pattern at the class.
