Beachcomber Quilted Jacket Construction
Angie will teach you how to create this amazing quilted jacket that you'll make on repeat!
Supplies- Beachcomber pattern by Laundry Basket Quilts
30 Fat Eighths or 15 Fat Quarters of dark fabric
7 Quarter yards of light fabrics (I also added some lights from my stash)
Crew neck sweatshirt one to 2 sizes bigger than you would normally wear (Both Jaime and I wish we had purchased a sweatshirt that was 2 sizes bigger than our normal)
2 1/2 yards lining (optional)
1 Fat quarter for binding (plus some scraps from above fabric)
Please complete as many 6 1/2" and 12 1/2" blocks as required by the pattern before the class. We can concentrate on construction of the jacket, if you are able to make numerous blocks. Bring all your leftover scraps to class. You will use many of these scraps for the odd angles of the jacket construction. Bring your sewing machine to class, along with the power cord, foot pedal, 1/4" foot, walking foot (or Dual feed), thread, scissors, rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, mat, straight pins, fabric marker, and a seam jumper (comes with Bernina machine accessories).
