
AppliQuilt Garden in Brentwood

Welcome to the wonderful world of quilt-as-you-go! This quilt was created using very simple quilting techniques while appliqueing AT THE SAME TIME! You will save time and money while having some happy and scrappy fun! This quilt is also very easy to make any size....simply add more blooms! And even MORE fun?? The quilt has two sides! See you in class!

Supplies
• Sewing machine
• Basic sewing supplies (you may want the single hole AND the 5.5 mm stitch plates)
• The Appliquilt Garden pattern (Sold at Gina's)
• Fabric – please see the pattern for fabric quantities. (note: layer cakes work really well here)
• Sewing feet: The walking foot, 1/4” foot, and your favorite free motion quilting foot
• Water soluble fabric marker
• Permanent fabric marker
• Best Press spray starch
• Water soluble fabric glue stick (I like the Odif 505 glue stick)
• Rotary cutter with a sharp blade
• Fabric and paper scissors (I like the Karen K Buckley blue and pink scissors)
• Freezer paper
• 1/8 yard of muslin
• 50 weight piecing thread
• 50 weight thread for quilting (You will see this thread on the back and front of your quilt)
• Size 90 sharp sewing needle
• 6” x 12” ruler
NOTE: Please cut out your fabric prior to class. You do not have to cut out the whole quilt...See the Prep for the Table Topper on page 1 of the pattern as a guide. Be sure to bring extra fabric to class for design options and for creating the blooms.
