
Serger Ladder Stitch Pillow Class in Knoxville

How about taking your serger to the next level? Learn to do more than trim and finish seams with your serger. This two-session pillow project teaches the serger ladder stitch, also known as a flatlock stitch. Using scraps of fabric connected by the ladder stitch, you will be creating a block of fabric for the pillow top. Finished size of the pillow is 14”. Piping is optional. Finally, a zipper is inserted using the serger. Everything is done on the serger. Let your creative juices flow!!

Cotton Fabric Scraps
1 yd. Shape Flex
16” Nylon Zipper match to Fabric Backing
4 spools of Aurifil 12 wt. Thread
2 spools of Serger Thread to match Aurifil
¾ yd. Fabric for Pillow Backing and Cording Cover
2 yds. 3/16” Cording or a similar size (Optional)
