Beginning Quilt Making in Brentwood

In just six weeks, you'll complete your Lap size (54 x 68) Log Cabin quilt! The timeless and loved Log Cabin pattern represents home, warmth, and security; and I'll bet it will become one of your favorites. In this class, you'll learn how to choose your fabrics, acquire the tools of the trade, learn precision cutting, pressing, precise piecing, attaching borders, quilting the three layers, and binding your quilt.

Please be able to thread and operate your sewing machine. Know how to thread and sew a straight stitch.

All Fabric, Tools, Sewing Notions are available at Gina's Bernina Sewing Studio and you'll have time during class to shop for fabric and tools.

Required book: Quilt in a Day Log Cabin" by Eleanor Burns. Each person will bring her own book. Patterns may not be photocopied. Bring your book to the first class.

Plan to go to Gina’s Bernina and choose your fabrics before the first class. Plan on at least an hour. Gina’s associates will help you.

Optional Resources:
