Quilted Jacket Class with Corrie Burger - Brentwood

The class will meet twice and is for intermediate to confident sewers. Please read pre-class instructions below prior to coming to class.

Class prep sheet for Quilted Jacket

• Supplies needed:
  
  

  o Pattern: Tamarack Jacket by Grainline Studios (available at Gina's)
  
  

  o Quilted Fabric for jacket:

  One piece 2 ½ Yards 45” wide
  
  

  OR

  Quilted panels for each pattern piece:

  Back: 32” x 32”

  Fronts: 2 @ 17” x 32” OR 1 @ 34” x 32”

  Sleeves: 2 @ 25” x 25” OR 1 @ 50” x 25”

  Pockets: 25” x 13”

  Hoodie: 19” x 28”

  (You can also combine pieces)
  
  

  o Contrasting fabric for the binding and placket: 3/4 Yd

  o Pattern ease: 2 ½ yards

  o Thread to blend in with the fabric.

  o Good dressmaker scissors.

  o General sewing tools: Pins, seam ripper, marking pen, marking tool, point turner
  
   Sewing machine with walking foot
  
  Pre-class instructions:

  o Cut out ONLY the paper pattern on the biggest printed lines.

  o We will cut our jackets in the class.
  
  

  Skill level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate to Skilled Sewist.
