Stars and Stripes Table Runner

Supply List

Pattern: Stars and Stripes Table Runner by Amellie Scott Designs (Gina's will have)

1. Print out in color both the Piecing and Quilting Instructions and

Stitch Out instructions. (2 separate PDF files)

2. Put embroidery designs only on a USB stick and bring to class.

Fabrics:

Red - ¼ Yd

White - 1/3 Yd

Blue - ¼ Yd

Backing - 1 Yd

Binding - ¼ Yd

Fabric Scraps for Hat, Fireworks, Star (see Pre-Class Instructions, Pg 2)

Batting: Crib Size Batting

Pellon SF-101 (Shape Flex) - ½ Yd.

Polymesh Cutaway Stabilizer to #t the hoop you are using (pattern calls

for Wash-Away, but I prefer Cutaway)

Hoop Size- Bring any of these that you own:

Midi*, Maxi, Jumbo, or Giant Hoop

*If using Midi Hoop, some fabric placement stitches along the

edges will not stitch, but we can still use this size hoop.

Needle:

75/11 Embroidery Needle

Bobbins and Bobbin Case:

Black Bobbin Case and 2-3 extra bobbins for quilting

Thread:

1. Isacord Threads for Embroidery and Quilting

2. Your favorite thread for piecing in a neutral color

3. Bottom Line Thread - White - (or something similar) for Bobbin

when embroidering

Tape:

Painters Tape or Kimberbell or OESD Tape is helpful to hold applique fabric

in place while stitching.

Basic Sewing Supplies - Scissors, Rotary Cutter, Ruler, Water Soluble

Fabric Marker, Tools that came with your machine, things you like to use

while sewing. etc.

Pre-Class Instructions Prep

Cut these Fabrics before class:

Red - Cut (2) 2 ½” x WOF

White - Cut (1) 2 ½” x WOF

Cut (1) 6 ½” x WOF -Iron Shape Flex to the BACK of this strip - Sub-cut it

into (6) 6 ½” squares.

Blue - Cut (1) 3 ½” x WOF -Iron Shape Flex to the BACK of this strip - Sub-cut it

into (6) 3 ½” x 6 ½” rectangles.

Scraps -

For the Hat - cut (2) - 4 ½” x 3” rectangles

For the Single Star - cut (2) - 4 ½” squares

For the Fireworks - cut (2) - 4 ½” squares

Sew these Fabrics before class:

Using the (2) Red and (1) White 2 ½” strips, sew them lengthwise together

into a strata of Red/White/Red. Sub-cut the strata into (6) 6 ½” squares.

use any colors that you like for your Table runner!
