T-Shirt Quilt Class 101 with Bev - Brentwood

Please read through all instructions below prior to class.

Class Preparation:

Choose 9 or 16 t-shirts (Uncut). Wash, dry, and press (Do not use Fabric Softeners). Gather your tools and sewing supplies before class day. Bring Extra t-shirts just in case.

Supplies Needed: (Please purchase at Gina's)

• Shape Flex SPF101 the 45" wide, sold at Gina's Bernina. One yard will cover eight t-shirts.
• Teflon Pressing Sheet
• Sashing (Optional) If you choose to sash or border you will need the fabrics
• Batting, backing and binding

TOOLS: 
Sewing machine oil, foot pedal, bobbin case and full bobbins for sewing, feet, slide-on table, foot and power cord

• Feet: walking feet, 97D or 34D, or quarter-inch foot
• Rotary cutter with new blade, rulers (square 15 1/2", 14 1/2" for adult tees--square 14 1/2", 13 1/2" for young adults, any other size tee shirts; please call or text me for square ruler size and cutting mat
• Needles 80/12 or 90/14 for the Bernina machines
• Sharp 5" embroidery craft scissors (Karen K. Buckley are great)
• Flower pins, 50-weight thread to blend (I recommend a gray color) Aurafil is fine.
• Seam ripper, Stiletto, thread snips
• Iron (we will not use water or steam for t-shirts) and pressing pad.
