Student Supply List

Serger/Overlocker– cleaned, oiled, and tested

All tools and accessories, and standard presser feet for your machine

Additional BERNINA Presser Feet:   

o   #10 standard presser foot with adjustable tape guide

o   #L17 for 850

o   #C17 for L890

Sewing Machine Needles

o   80/12 ELx705

Fabric

o   2 ½ inch width of fabric strips- Can use a batik (for single layer) or can use 2 pieces of regular quilters cotton

Threads:

2 spools of regular serger thread with matching stretch thread (Maxi-lock) or 12 wt thread

Notions:   

o   Basic Sewing supplies: scissors, seam ripper, straight pins, wonder clips, rotary cutter, ruler, etc.

o   2 kinds of scissors (craft ones and fabric ones)

o   Jewely making  wire – 26 or 28 gauge wire-- I used 26

o   Terial Magic  or  Best Press 

Please have this done before class day so you may get the most from the class time: 

Fabric Cutting & Before Class Preparation

o   Cut your 2 ½ inch WOF strips (as many as you would like to do) 

o   If you are doing single sided then 1 WOF – if you are doing 2 sided then 2 WOF for each ribbon

o   Bring extra fabric

o   Spray all strips with Terial Magic or Best Press and press
